Meet our hygienists

Emma

Dental Hygienist

Emma is passionate about making a positive difference to her patients — whether that’s in the treatment of periodontal disease, supporting anxious patients, or maintaining dental implants and has been part of our team since 2018. Outside of work, Emma keeps active by playing padel with friends and going to the gym. She also recently completed the Robin Hood Half Marathon.

Emma qualified from the University of Birmingham in 2016 with a BSc in Dental Therapy. For the next two years, she experienced both NHS and private practices, where she honed her clinical skills and gained extensive experience before joining Park Dental Care in 2018.

Emma is a full-time hygienist at Park Dental Care held in high regard by her loyal clients for her gentle touch.

Christina

Dental Hygienist & Therapist

Christina loves coming to work at Park Dental Care and continues to invest in her professional development, regularly attending practical courses to keep up to date with the latest treatments and dental products. When she isn’t working, Christina’s time is happily (and busily!) filled with raising her young family. She often jokes that pushing a triple buggy counts as her gym workout!

Christina has been part of our team for over 15 years, gaining extensive experience working with both adults and children. This experience helps her understand individual needs and provide personalised care. Whether she is treating periodontal disease, teaching patients how to improve and maintain their oral health, carrying out fillings, or teeth whitening, Christina’s focus is always on making patients feel comfortable and confident in their care.

Christina works part-time around her family and her loyal clients book their families’ appointments a long time in advance to see her. When she does get a quiet moment, she enjoys keeping active, catching up with friends, and (when possible) savouring a hot drink without little hands stealing it.

Shah

Dental Clinician

Shah Is a highly qualified clinician, who joined our team at Park Dental Care as a hygienist a year ago. Shah has a particular interest in helping to treat gum disease and his ambition is to qualify as a “periodontist”, or “Gum Health Specialist”. Shah is newly married and enjoys cricket and football.

Shah trained as a dentist in Pakistan in 2017, where he practised dentistry for five years. However, there is no opportunity to train as a gum specialist in Pakistan, so in 2023, Shah completed a Master’s degree in Healthcare Leadership at BPP University, London, and obtained his UK Dental Care Professional (DCP) registration with the General Dental Council in 2024.

Shah’s clients like his thorough understanding of the science around their gum health and respect his clear communication about how their health can best be improved. Shah’s dedication means his spare time is spent studying for his next professional exams.

Chantelle

Dental Hygienist

Chantelle provides tailored professional advice to prevent dental decay or gum disease as well as more extensive hygiene treatments to manage existing gum conditions. Chantelle’s Saturday clinic at Park Dental Care is especially popular. If you are looking to improve your smile she is able to offer a range of cosmetic treatments including teeth whitening and air flow stain removal.

Chantelle graduated in 2010 with a degree in Dental Hygiene Therapy after qualifying as a Dental Nurse in 2004 and remains committed to her professional development, achieving her Master’s Degree in 2019. Chantelle brings this wealth of experience to our team at Park Dental Care, where she finds working with nervous patients to overcome their anxieties especially rewarding.

Chantelle has achieved awards for her work in oral health promotion. In addition to her clinical commitments and studies, Chantelle is involved in Dental Education as a Tutor and Examiner. Chantelle is a gentle sole who enjoys time with her family and is held in high regard for the empathy she brings to her clients.

Emily

Dental Hygienist

Emily believes that healthy gums are paramount for the stability and success of all restorative and implant dentistry and has gained a reputation for helping clients who have complex dental needs. Many have had extensive crowns, implants and complex fillings; Emily empowers them to improve their oral and general health by providing them bespoke advice and treatment to help them reach their goals and keep them.

Emily trained at the University of Dundee and has spent over ten years gaining experience in private practices and specialist practices in the East Midlands. Outside of work, Emily spends most weekends skydiving, climbing and spending as much time as possible out in nature (Emily’s clients know why she’s a fan of factor 50!).

With increasing evidence that links periodontal disease to general health conditions, like heart disease and diabetes, Emily is passionate about motivating clients to optimise their oral health. Emily is a part-time member of our team, whose clients appreciate her understanding of their particular needs; sees clients of Thursdays.
