Ten Things I’m Asked Most about Invisalign in Nottingham

With more than 22 million Invisalign users worldwide – including around 6.8 million teens and children – it’s no surprise that clear aligners have become one of the most popular ways to straighten teeth. As a Platinum Invisalign Provider here in Nottingham, I’ve been helping clients transform their smiles for over 15 years.

At this time of year, when weddings, graduations, and proms are on the horizon, I see a surge of people wanting to feel photo‑ready (no AI filter required). So here are the questions I’m asked most often – answered honestly and simply.

1. Am I suitable for Invisalign?

In most cases, yes. Invisalign works brilliantly for crowding, spacing, uneven teeth and relapse, when someone has stopped wearing their retainers. Most cases need small tooth‑coloured attachments or elastics, but these are very discreet, whilst more complex cases are helped with elastics.

2. How much does Invisalign cost in Nottingham?

My Invisalign treatments start from £1,677, with the final fee depending on how many aligners you need. Mild cosmetic cases sit at the lower end; more advanced bite corrections sit higher.

At Park Dental Care you can spread payments over up to 36 months, interest‑free (subject to status), which makes treatment manageable for most people.

3. What’s included in the price?

I keep things simple and transparent. Your fee includes:

  • Digital 3D scan and smile simulation
  • ClinCheck digital planning
  • All aligners
  • Any refinements
  • Review appointments

No hidden extras – just everything you need for a predictable, comfortable journey.

4. How long does treatment take?

Most of my clients finish in 9 – 15 months. Mild cases can be as quick as six months. Your timeline depends on your starting point and how consistently you wear your aligners.

5. Does Invisalign hurt?

You may feel gentle pressure for a day or two when you switch to a new aligner. It’s usually mild and far more comfortable than fixed braces.

6. How visible are the aligners?

They’re designed to be almost invisible. The aligners are clear, and attachments are tooth‑coloured, so most people won’t notice you’re wearing them.

7. How many hours a day do I need to wear them?

For the best results, you’ll need to wear your aligners 22 hours a day. Remove them only for eating, drinking anything other than water, and brushing.

8. Will I need attachments or elastics?

Most Invisalign cases use attachments to guide precise tooth movement. Elastics may be added for bite correction. Both are small, subtle and easy to adapt to.

9. How often will I need to come in for appointments?

This is something I’m asked almost daily. Most of my Invisalign clients in Nottingham come in every 6–10 weeks so I can check progress and make sure everything is moving exactly as planned. With digital monitoring, some clients need even fewer visits.

10. What happens after Invisalign treatment?

You’ll wear retainers at night to keep your teeth beautifully straight. Some clients want the security of additional fixed retainers, hidden on the back of their front teeth.
